General Assembly 2026

Latvia/Riga

Riga is a city where history and contemporary energy meet along the banks of the Daugava River. As the capital of Latvia and a cultural heart of the Baltic region, it is renowned for its rich heritage, with a historic centre recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest and most impressive collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.

At the same time, Riga is a dynamic and creative city, shaped by its port, its international outlook and a vibrant cultural scene. The interplay of medieval streets, green river landscapes and modern urban development gives Riga a layered identity and a confident orientation toward the future.
