Annalisa Calcagno Maniglio (Italy) was Professor Emeritus of Landscape Architecture and one of the most influential figures in the development of landscape architecture in Italy. Through her academic leadership, professional practice, and institutional engagement, she played a pivotal role in establishing and advancing the discipline both nationally and internationally.

In 1980, she founded the first postgraduate School of Landscape Architecture at the University of Genoa, a pioneering initiative that educated generations of landscape architects and significantly strengthened the profession in Italy.
